Lucidlove Moonlight
we are
what we are
complex languages
seldom changes
war and love
lust and life
human nature
does not change
while
trivial questions
take the place of
bigger ones
as
silent eyes
adhere to blind lies
and
echoed ears fold
to the truths we are told
hide behind these norms
where singularity sings in forms
flutteringfallingflowingflying
above us the dead
the dead
all are dying
the myths are loud
pride hides proud
in the sky
within the lie
which grasps you oh so strong
leads you weakly along
down a path so very long
where
filters spy and spit you out
into someone you don't even know about
for even on the mountaintop
you can't see through the haze
and
in mirrors within mirrors of this maze
it's not the end that scares you
just your face
echoing everywhere you see yourself stare
back at you and you and see yourself bare
your folded ears
ring within your blind tears
when you realize that it's been years
since you've even looked at yourself
see life and all its realities
hide behind the living treaties
which we made with the mighty one
that blinds us like the noonday sun
so throw on some shades
or lower the blinds
and what you'll find is
lustlove
desirefire
burningchurning
body learning
all these things that make us me and you
we get hung up and knocked down and stuck to
life is livinglovinglearning
seeinghearingwantingyearning
so dim the light
and don't you fight
for even in the depths of night
always is there truthtranquil light
you need yourself first
to quench that arid thirst
our bodies pay the toll
for the imprisoned mind and soul
but i don't preach or teach
i learn all day i reach
for a place higher than the misty top
where i myself will not flip-flop
between the evils on the ground
that holds me down and mutes my sound
so
make us strong and no one weak
look 'em in the eyes when we speak
tell them you want back your tears
and memories of all those lost years
cause we are going out tonight
looking for our stolen clearplacid sight
and remember
even now in darkness
there is light
so hold on tight
let go of fright's savage bite
fly my lovely into the lucidlove
of this eve's moonlight
